implications of the North/South dialogue for our aid policies.
iv. Commercial Considerations: Subject to the need to meet the long term objective, especially as regards the level of allocations to the poorest, and to continue to use aid funds solely for purposes which have developmental value for the recipient, we should be ready to provide aid in ways which will give greater weight to the mutual interests of both the UK and the recipients and to relate them to the potential role of our own export industries.
