MANAGEMENT TRAINING
44. The Technical Education and Training Organisation for Overseas Countries (TETOC) provides advice to ODM on management development and is engaged in identifying overseas needs and matching them to appropriate British resources able to assist. Besides advising on the placing of trainees on standard courses at Management Training
Centres and Business Schools in Britain TETOC has eg. arranged a country-based programme in India for senior managers from public corporations to learn from experience by dealing with managerial problems in organisations other than their own. To complement this programme a course has been mounted in Britain to help Indian management trainees to develop their own projects for training, based on actual problems in their own organisations. Whenever possible emphasis is placed on the provision of assistance to the development of management capacity in relation to rural development projects such as the proposed project in South
Darfur Province in the Sudan.
