1. During my recent visit to Hong Kong I had a long talk with General Sir John Archer, Commander British Forces. One of his concerns which is in your domain was that he was not uniformly kept appraised of developments vis-à-vis Brunei and asked that consideration be given to copying all the relevant telegrams on Brunei affairs to the CBF. I suggested that he should also bring this up with you when he saw you during the week beginning 16 October, This minute is a reminder in case he did not remember to bring it up.
