Admiralty Compass Observatory

48. Miss Joan Lestor asked the Secre tary of State for Defence what is the estimated amount by which the defenc budget will be reduced by the changes planned for the Admiralty Compass Observatory in Slough.

Dr. Gilbert: Consultation with the staff and trade union sides of the Whiskey Council over the changes planned for the Admiralty Compass Observatory, Slough, has not yet begun It would, therefore be premature to state what reductio may be made to the defends budget.

Hong hong

49. Mr. Hooley asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will now require the Hong Kong Government to meet the full cou of the British Armed Forces stationed in Hong Kong
