1. I have been asked to reply to your recent letter to the Prime Minister about Hong Kong.
2. The lease on the New Territories of Hong Kong expires in 1997. This is still nearly twenty years away and a great deal will have happened by then, not only in the area but in other parts of the world as well. In view of this it is not possible to predict what the attitudes of all those concerned will be so far in the future.
3. I am very glad you enjoyed your stay in Hong Kong
