You wrote to David Owen on 9 March about the forthcoming visit to this country by a delegation from the Heung Yee Kuk in Hong Kong.

I should be very pleased to meet the delegation. We had already heard from the Hong Kong Government about their visit prior to receiving your letter but there has, clearly, been some uncertainty about the timing of the visit. The Hong Kong Government have now confirmed that the delegation will leave Hong Kong on 23 April and would like to see me early in the week beginning Monday 25 April. I understand that you are aware of this change of timing. I suggest that the delegation might come to see me at 10.00 a.m. on Tuesday 26 April but if that is not convenient please let my Private Secretary know (telephone 233 7809) and I am sure that an alternative mutually convenient time can be found. I will ask the Hong Kong Government to inform the Kuk of this arrangement.

Yours Grammy
