Rebuts
Dear Low Goronny Roberts,
4
20th April 1977
I was lucky enough to be with Mrs Thatcher's party in the Far East over the Easter Recess. We had a particularly interesting time in Hong Kong, and the Governor and his colleagues looked after us admirably.

During a visit to the New Territories Mrs Thatcher saw at Fanling Lodge representatives of the gung-Yee-Kuk. They explained to her their general approach, and the reasons for which they were sending a delegation to London shortly. Mrs Thatcher suggested that they should contact me while they were in London for a talk.
I am not quite sure who will be in charge of their programme. Assuming that it is the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, I should be very grateful if a talk with me could be included. I would gladly give them a drink at the House of Commons if that seems appropriate.
