This is
Your letter is principally concerned with the question of land acquisition and com ensation and, in my letter of 24th May 1975 in reply to your carlier petition to Lord Coronwy-Roberts, I explained that the resumption of land ro uired for a public purpose can only we carried out fter the Governor-in-Council has made an order to this effect, following careful examination of the need for the land in question.

The Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance provides for the payment of compensation, and the Lands Tribunal has been established to decide on amounts of compensation payable in cases where agreement cannot be racned in direct negotiation between the Government and the land-
Owner.
