Would you

Commonwealth Parliamentary Association on 22 November. like us to confirm these two engagements? As you probably know, Mr Casey will be leading a group of British shipbuilders on a visit to the Far East, including Hong Kong, in early December.

If so, do

5. Would you like us to book a table for you somewhere for your dinner with Lord Goronwy-Roberts on 21 November? you have anywhere particular in mind?

6. We have been talking with Denis Bray about the lunches he would like to arrange for you to meet the press here. He hopes to invite the editors of the four major serious dailies and a few of the senior people in television and radio. Rather than overload one lunch, Denis is planning two, one on the 24th for the editors and the other on the 30th for the broadcasters. Since each lunch would thus be fairly intimate there would be no need for you to make any formal address.

7. For your visit to the House of Commons on 22 November to hear the Prime Minister's question-time, we have obtained a ticket for you to the Distinguished Strangers Gallery. The procedure for actually getting into the Gallery is somewhat complicated: we will explain it to you when you call at the Office on 21 November.

8. We have done our best to keep Friday, 25 November, free in case any of your appointments have to be re-arranged at the last moment. No doubt you will bear this in mind when making the rest of your engagements for this period.

9.

I am copying this letter to Denis Bray.
