I shall be submitting seperately an assessment of how far the Hong Kong Government have achieved the requirements laid down in the Planning Paper and some preliminary thoughts on a possible extension of social development. You may wish to raise either or both of these points.
4. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
This meeting is a little out of phase since it comes shortly before we can expect the next consignment of quarterly returns. I would suggest that we aim to hold the next meeting at the end of February when we can expect to have had both a recent set of returns and the draft of the Budget speech.
