HONG KONG : REDISTRIBUTIVE EFFECTS OF ECONOMIC POLICY
1. As agreed at the Standing Committee meeting on 8 February 1977, I have examined our information to hand on the above. The Hong Kong Census of Population and Housing 1971 provides some income distribution data but this is six years
out of date and limited. The section of the 1976 Budget Speech on "Economic Implications" contains no references to this aspect.

In view of this I submit a draft accordingly.
