Explanation of change

In the 5-year period, the current targets, compared with the previous report, show a net increase of 9 schools, representing an additional 19,440 places. The explanation of the changes in 1976/77 are given below. Thereafter, the changes reflect the addition of new schools and the advancement or deferment of some schools to match revised completion dates for the housing estates within which the schools will be provided.

Explanation of change

1. Lai King III was omitted in error from the previous list.

2. Minor delays of from one to two months in the

completion of schools numbered 7-9 were due to poor progress in construction.

3. Two schools at Chai Wan, which were previously scheduled

for completion in March 1977, have been delayed to May 1977. Accordingly, they are now included in the 1977/78 list.
