I am not sure whether you mean this to apply only in the context of the present case (if so, in the light of the above, your fears are academic) or whether you believe there will be a reaction whenever the UK Government decides to intervene to abolish capital punishment. If the latter, we should be grateful to know what form you expect the trouble to take and whether it would be something which you feel you could not contain with your own island resources.
