BRITISH DEPENDENCIES IN THE EASTERN
CARIBBEAN.
Your letter of 4 November 1977 addressed
to D H Fowler in the Commonwealth Co-ordination
Department has been passed to us for reply
since general problems affecting the U.K.
De Territories are dealt with in this Defendant
department.
On the assumption that the request
from the Department of External Affairs embraces
all British dependencies and not just those in
the Eastern Caribbean we have prepared the

enclosed schedule, cory of which may be handed to
the Canadians. It will be seen that after the list
of dependent territories we have included the
position concerning the Associated States which
have not yet achieved full independence.
