Comments
Mr Davis, Deputy Governor is due to retire in April 1978. It has been agreed that he should be replaced by a suitable DS candidate early 1978. An overlap will be desirable or Mr Davis may have to retire early. The Governor (Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir John Grandy) is due to retire in February 1978 but would like to stay on until April 1978. It is agreed that he should be replaced by a suitable MOD candidate.
Independence is likely in 1978/1979. The present Governor should have an extension of office to see the Territory through to Independence.
HMOCS or DS replacement. Experience of Ex Co/Leg Co is desirable.
Burgess (seconded from HCS and ex HMOCS) retires September 1977. An HMOCS replacement is desirable, but any DS candidate with former HMOCS experience and fluency in French can be considered.
A normal HMOCS Governorship but a DS replacement could be considered.
