INSPECTION OF GIBRALTAR GENERAL DEPARTMENT

1. Following our talk this morning perhaps I should record some of the administrative matters which will require attention prior to the merger of General Section and Administrative, Legal and Judicial Staffing Section with Hong Kong Department. (We still do not know when the merger will take place.)

Mr Hall is expected to go on to part-time work (average 3 days a week) from 1 January 1977. If Hong Kong Recruitment is taken over by the Hong Kong Office Mr Bay's post (DS9) will be abolished. The Inspectors recommendation is that the Unit should have:
1 x DS6/SEO Head of Section
1 x DS9
1 x DS10
+ Part-time DS5 (Mr Hall)
