Re: Request the Governor, Sir Murray MacLahose
to stay on

We recognize that since his assumption of duty as Governor, Sir Murray MacLahose has been making a great contribution to welfare of Hong Kong. In particular, he has led Hong Kong through a period of world recession and crisis go as to stabilise and restore the economy of Hong Kong.
We would like to indicate the following facts why we request to extend his tour of duty for a further period.

In certain political circumstances, it might then be considered prudent to extend Sir Murray's tour in view of his record, experience and success in Chinese relations.
Concerning the policies he made, such as: Anti-Criminal Campaign, Anti-Corruption Campaign, New Town Development and the Mass Transit Railway, especially the establishment of I.C.A.C. are of great success. The Majority upholds these policies. He always travels incognito and dispatches the people he trusts to realize the distress and misfortune of the citizens. Then he will set policies basically to meet the necessity of the Majority.
He fears no Evil Forces or Triad Society. On his retum from England last year, the Governor affirmed that he would do everything within his power to restore law and order.

He is not in favour of general social intercourses. always concentrates on his work. He always seeks opportunier to offer his service to the citizens of Hong Kong.
