Line to Take

Despite resistance from other members of the Community, we have consistently supported the inclusion of Hong Kong textiles under the GSP and we shall be doing so again so far as the
1977 scheme is concerned. We are hopeful that opinion in the Community is moving in Hong Kong's favour.
(If necessary): We propose to take up Hong Kong's case with the Grauman
Governor with a view to overcoming their opposition.
