Three sets of annotated maps showing the differences between the boundary shown on modern topographic mapping and that laid down by the 1910 Agreement are held in Map Research and Library Group. They are:
(i)
A set of series 1501 sheets, held in the Maps Section under reference E39:1(11) and comprising the following sheets:
ND 31-12, ed 1
ND 32-9 ed 1
ND 32-11, ed 1
ND 32-14, ed 1
ND 32-10, ed 1
ND 32-15, ed 1
(ii)
A set of photocopies of the IGN Carte de l'Afrique de l'Ouest at 1:200,000 scale, held as folio 10B on file MCE(RE)MRLG 20/1/19, and comprising the following sheets:
ND-31-XII, ND-32-VII, ND-32-VIII, ND-32-IX,
1st edition, Feb 1962
1st edition, Nov 1962
1st edition, Dec 1962
1st edition, Nov 1962
Note:
There are more annotations on the series 1501 set, partly because more of the affected parts of the boundary are depicted on this series and partly because the authoritative 'straight-line' boundary has been shown in some areas where, although the IGN/series 1501 boundary is very close to the correct alignment, it is obviously a slightly sinuous line. The set of IGN maps was produced earlier in this study and only attempted to show the more obvious changes.
(iii) A set of photocopies of sheets of the Nigerian Federal Survey Department's
1:50,000 series, held in the Maps Section under reference E39:3(2). The base maps are the 1:50,000 sheets listed in paragraph V.4, but these annotated photocopies have been renumbered from sheet 1 in the west to sheet 18 at 5°30'E.
