There also remains the possibility of the appointment of an independent trades unionist. extremely reluctant to recommend this, however if forced to do so and this would require very strong arguments indeed it would cause some reconsideration of the appoint- ments suggested above. I am writing separately about the whole problem of including a trades unionist.
