1.
John Stewart has told me that he mentioned my trip to you when he was in Hong Kong last week and discussed a possible programme. I understand that he also gave you a copy of my letter of 7 October which sets out my own thoughts on what and who, if possible, I would welcome a chance to see. I have very little to add to it now except to ask that my programme have, say, a couple of free days at the end for me to fill up as I will, to say that I am particularly grateful for the rather last minute work that must now be under way on my behalf and that I am very much looking forward to my tour.
2. Charles brace-francis has very kindly offered to put me up during my stay and we are in touch over my arrival and departure dates (which look like being the Sunday before, the 7th, and the Sunday after, the 21st).
