John Stewart has passed on to me word of your very generous offer to put me up during my stay. It is very kind of you indeed and I hope I won't be too much of a burden. I have also just seen your telegram o 1056 about liacao and, as I replied, I think I must say no to this very attractive offer, if only because 1 have arranged to spend a few days with friends in Bangkok and, if I were to arrive two days earlier in Hong kong, I would have very little time to see them. As it is, I will be arriving, as I said, on Sunday 7 November on flight Sų 632 at 16.25 your time and should be leaving (for a few days in Jakarta with friends) on GA 785 at 14.50 on Sunday 21 November. It seems to me Tom Duffy has filled me in about Sundays in Hong Kong - that the timing of my outward flight may well ruin a possible afternoon on the beach for you: would be very happy therefore to grab a taxi if necessary to get me to the airport. Let me know at the time.

By the look of it then, I shall be arriving in Hong Kong from Bangkok at more or less the same time you will be arriving from Macao. Perhaps you could give me more instructions to follow on my arrival about how to get to you.
I am much looking forward to my visit.
