COLONIAL REPORTS
1. In my minute of 27 August addressed to DT departments and desks I indicated that I was about to put forward a proposal to amend Colonial Regulations 151(e) and 152 to remove the obligation of CAG's to produce Colonial Reports in future and I asked for comments on these proposals by Thursday 2 September.
2. I am unable to trace comments from FDTU and I recall that Mr Brown telephoned to query whether it would be appropriate to remove the responsibility from OAG's to produce Colonial Reports since in regard to Gibraltar their Colonial Report was the basis of the information required under United Nations 73(e) obligations.
3. If these to whom this is addressed have any comments on + my minute of 27 August would they let me have themrin writing.
