These sites are indicated on the plan annexed.

Possible new petrol filling station sites to replace those

to be resumed are now being urgently investigated. Four such sites are also indicated on the annexed plan.

3

Under normal policy, petrol filling station sites are sold by tender restricted to holders of special importers' licences generally. However, the timing of the resumption of existing sites in Kwun Tong and Ngau Tau Kok, the first site in September 1975 and the second, third and fourth by July 1976, is such that the co-operation of the three holders of special importers' licences affected by the resump- tions will be required if new sites, in respect of which site formation will not be easy, are to be prepared in time to maintain continuity of supplies in the area. It is, therefore, proposed that policy should be varied so that the first three new sites in the area can be sold by tender restricted to these three operators. Further sites would then be dealt with in accordance with normal policy.
