(b) (i) Accommodation in France
In accordance with Civ il Service Regulation 2021 you may claim reimbursement of rent and rates with effect from the date of your taking up rented accommodation, subject to a maximum of French Francs 3,090 per month. (This is the rate for a married officer accompanied by his family).
Before taking up rented accommodation, you will be eligible to receive a subsistence allowance in accordance with Civil Service Regulation 2024, at the following rates per night:

(while accompanying you in Paris)
Since your family will not join you in Paris until the beginning of July 1975, the allowance will initially be payable in respect of yourself only at the rate of HK$150 per night for the first 28 nights and thereafter, until your family joins you, at the rate of HK$135 per night. When your family joins you in July the full rates quoted above may be paid, for a maximum of 28 nights.
You will not be required to pay rent to the Hong Kong Government under Establishment Regulation 872.
(ii) Quarters in Hong Kong
You may retain your present quarter at No. 30 Plunketts Road, Flat 3C, during your 2 year tour of duty in Paris and any period of leave granted to you immediately the reafter. This has been agreed exceptionally, on the understanding that it may not be possible to arrange for you to occupy the flat should you return to Hong Kong in less than 2 years. Your family may remain in occupation of your quarter until 30th June 1975, subject to the payment of rent under E.R. 872.
(iii) Hotel accommodation in Hong Kong
The provisions of Civil Service Regulation 2027(b) will apply.
(c) Disturbance Grants
You will be eligible for Disturbance Grants under Civil
Service Regulation 2020, which in your case equate to
60% of the top point on the Master Pay Scale, i.e. HK$4,686.
(d) Baggage Allowances
You may claim these allowances under Civil Service Regulation 2025.
(e) Transport and Storage of Personal and
Household Effects
The arrangements in Civil Service Regulation 2026 will apply (but air conditioned storage is not available).
