The Prisoner claimed to have no association with any triad society. He said to have very few good friends and had forgotten their addresses or telephone numbers. Sometimes he might have contact with people of his trade, decoration and painting workers or hawkers.

PERSONS INTERVIEWED (relevant to the Prisoner's conduct and working

attitude)

1.

HUI Tsui-lan, F/30 (The Prisoner's common law wife)

Madam HUI cohabited with the Prisoner sometime in September 1973 at the aforesaid address in Tsz Wan Shan Estate. She had known the Prisoner for more than a year before their cohabitation.

Madam HUI was a sewing worker before.

HUI Sai-chu, F/22 (The Prisoner's sister-in-law)

Miss HUI Sai-chu, living at Room 138, Block 18, Wah Fu Estate was interviewed. She was of the opinion that the Prisoner was not a bad person.

He was considered friendly to people and did not seem to be aggressive in character.

3. FONG Fing-kuen, M/34 (The Prisoner's cousin)

Mr. FONG residing at No. 6, Junction Road, G/F., a 14-seat bus driver, was interviewed, Mr. FONG said he came to Hong Kong with the Prisoner in March 1963. He knew the Prisoner since boyhood in their native place. He also confirmed the information about the Prisoner's family background as given by the latter. Since coming to Hong Kong" they used to keep contact with each other. It was learnt from. Mr. FONG that the Prisoner was not a lazy character and did not have any bad habit except mahjong games at times. But he was a spend- thrift before he cohabited with his wife. When he was unemployed he sometimes came to borrow money from Mr. Fong. The latter further expressed that the Prisoner was not a bad person or aggressive or cruel in character.

4. FONG Hon-sang, M/37 (The Prisoner's clansman)

Mr. FONG Hon-sang is an employee at Cheung Tai Co., at an estate at Kwai Chung. He lives at No. 262, Kowloon Wan Resite Area. Mr. FONG was of the opinion that the Prisoner was not a very bad character though he was not very steady in work. They used to keep contact very often. He also confirmed that the Prisoner used to remit. money to his elder siblings in China. However, Mr. FONG knew very little of the Prisoner's behaviour and activities outside.
