Step-mother : TSOI Mui, (H.K. Identity Card No. C 153104)

aged 56,, worked as a casual labourer in

Shun Fung Knitting Factory in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, at about $13 a day.

Blood sister : KWAN Yip Tai (H.K. Identity Card No. C 153106),

aged 32, married with 3 sons. Her husband

was a seaman. They lived at Chung Hau, Tung Chung, Lantao Island.

Adoptive Sister: LI Fung Ying (H.K. Identity Card No. C 273255) aged 19, adopted by the Prisoner's step mother

at the age of 3. Married with a daughter and lived at No. 121, Tsuen Loong Street, 5/F, Tsuen Wan, New Territories. Her husband was

a construction worker.

Natural uncle: LO Kau, (H.K. Identity Card No. D'119448),

aged 56, owner of Ming Kee Store in Tung

Chung, Lantao Island, the brother of Prisoner's natural mother.

C. HOME ENVIRONMENT

The Prisoner's parents for generations lived in the stone houses No. 2 and No. 3, Nim Yuen Village, Tung Chung, Lantao Island which was at a 30 minute walking distance from the pier. These houses were built by their ancestors. The place was partitioned into two bed rooms and a small living room which were simply and poorly furnished.

The Prisoner seldom returned home since he went out to work in Kowloon. He returned home about once in two months but not regularly. He used to stay at home one or two nights and then went out to Kowloon again. He would stay a longer period at home when he was out of job.

D. EDUCATION

The Prisoner completed his primary schooling in Tung Chung Public School in Lantao Island in 1964. He was found not a very bright student and seemed to have little interest in studies. He . played truant occasionally and repeated his class twice. His school work was also far from good.

E. EMPLOYMENT

The Prisoner began work for his living at 15, after he left school. His employment record was as follows:-

(1) Labourer at Kam Wah Restaurant at No. 880, King's Road,

G/F., Hong Kong, earning about $100 a month, with food and lodging provided. Prisoner was unable to recall the length of service there but it lasted about several months. He quitted the job because he would like to change work and to learn about another trade.
