Your Petitioner that he was doing a business that could not
flourish because of the obstruction by a Chinese man. He did
not reveal that the said man was his father. He asked Your Petitioner whether Your Petitioner could get some people to help teach the said man a lesson so as to ensure he would in future not be as haughty and would not thereafter dare to
interfere with his business. The 1st Defendant also informed
Your Fetitioner that the said man was a boxer and it would be
necessary to get several persons to teach him a lesson. The 1st Defendant promised to pay Your Fetitioner for the job $2,000.00.

The following day, Your Petitioner got in touch with several persons and finally both the 3rd and 4th Defendants agreed to do the job with him.

One or two days afterwards, the 1st Defendant, Your Petitioner, the 3rd and 4th Defendants and some other friends were having tea at the Caravelle Hotel, and discussions on the job were taken place. The 1st Defendant proposed to Your Petitioner and the 3rd and 4th Defendants that they should carry some weapons as they might not be able to overpower the said man bere-handed, repeating that the said man was a very fierce boxer. The preliminary agreement was reached but the date on which action was to take place was not yet fixed.

In the morning of 21st February 1972 (that is, the 7th day of the Chinese New Year), Your Fetitioner telephoned the 1st Defendant. The 1st Defendant asked Your Petitioner and the 3rd and 4th Defendants to go to his home. At about 12.30 p.m. the 3rd and 4th Defendants and Your Petitioner reached the 1st Defendant's home and were briefed by the 1st
