HUMBLY SHOWETH as follows that:
1.
Your Petitioner is now confined in Stanley Prison
under a death sentence passed on him on 9th January 1973.
2.
Your Petitioner was charged as the 2nd Defendant
together with one Cheng Pak-hey (1st Defendant), Lam Kwok
Hung (3rd Defendant) and Wong Tung-shing (4th Defendant) with
the murder of Cheng Ching.
3.
On 9th January 1973, after a very long trial the 1st
Defendant was convicted of manslaughter, and Your Petitioner
and the 3rd and 4th Defendants were all convicted of murder.

successful and he was discharged absolutely, but the appeal
on behalf of Your Petitioner and the 3rd and 4th Defendants
was dismissed.
5.
The application for leave to appeal to the Privy
Council on behalf of Your Fetitioner and the 3rd and 4th
Defendants was dismissed just recently.
6.
At the time of the commission of the crime, Your
Fetitioner was 22 years of age.
7.
The 3rd and 4th Defendants were ordered to be
detained until Her Majesty's pleasure, whereas Your Petitioner
was sentenced to death.
8.
Your Petitioner became acquainted and friendly with
the 1st Defendant in the middle of 1971 through the
introduction of a friend one Cheung Chak-leung.
9.
On an evening in February 1972, the 1st Defendant,
his friend one Geordie Wan and Your Petitioner had night snacks
at the Caravelle Hotel. The 1st Defendant there informed
