ግ
The sister was married to Mr. TSE Chuk-sang in 1969 and had 3 children. She said that when the Prisoner was sick he had been living with her for about a year. She stated that the Prisoner had been amicable to her children maintaining good relationship with his brother-in-law. She said she just could not believe that the Prisoner could have committed such serious offence. She attributed his reckless. behaviour to the influence of his bad companies.
5. CHAN Pak-kan, M/19 (the Prisoner's brother)
Mr. CHAN was a delivery hand at a meat stall at Yaumati market. He revealed that the Prisoner sometimes went to bowling centre with him. As far as he could see the Prisoner did not look like a teddy boy nor a criminal. He had been good to the younger sisters as he sometimes gave them some pocket money. He could not say that the Prisoner was a bad brother. I

Mrs. FUNG has been living at the Prisoner's home at No. 29, Man Yiu Building, 18/F for about 2 years occupying a cubicle with monthly rental of $300. As far as she could see Mr. FUNG was of the opinion that the Prisoner was not bad in character. He did not make any trouble with neighbours and seemed to be leading a normal life. Generally speaking her remarks on the Prisoner were favourable.
7. Mr. Diamond LEUNG, M/23 (the Prisoner's employer, Address: 362A,
Portland Street, 2/F.)
Mr. LEUNG said he knew the Prisoner sometime in 1969 when the latter was an apprentice at Ngai Shing Company while Mr. Leung was a supervisor there. Later, Mr. Leung left Ngai Shing Company to start his own business. The Prisoner had been employed by Mr. D. Leung for about 9 months before the offence. Mr. Leung said that the Prisoner was rather diligent in work. His working ability had been satisfactory. Mr. Leung sometimes went to bowling centre with the Prisoner and on several occasions frequented night clubs and dance halls. He said that the Prisoner was not very bad in character but was rather spendthrift and sometimes hot-tempered. He too was surprised at the Prisoner's involvement in such serious trouble.
E. INTERVIEW REPORT ON THE PRISONER
The Prisoner was interviewed in the Stanley Prison on 16th December, 1974. During the course of interview he did not appear to be very tense in emotions. He was at ease when talking. He said he had known some of the other condemned prisoners of the case for several years as neighbours in Valley Road Estates or as fellow workers. He did not know the deceased. He admitted that they, he and the other prisoners, spent the money together in night clubs, dance halls and on pleasure. He said he regretted very much for what he had done and wished to have his death sentence commuted to a term of imprisonment.
