INTERVIEW WITH THE PRISONER

The Prisoner was interviewed in Stanley Prison on 13.12.74. He regretted that he had resorted to the illegal means to obtain money to pay off his debts accrued chiefly from off-course gambling. He accused himself of excessive gambling, and having not discussed his problems with his family. Temptation for easy money from winning as well as influence from his undesirable associates, of whom some were involved in the present case of offences, had led him into heavier debts and the present crime..

The Prisoner begged for mercy.
