That on the 2nd day of December, 1974, the appeal of your humble petitioner was dismissed and he is now a condemned

prisoner waiting to be executed for the offence of murder.

That your humble petitioner is seeking for mercy from Your › Excellency the Governor to save him from this punishment.

3. That your humble petitioner is aged 22 years and is married with

a daughter aged nearly 1 year; that he was born in this Colony and received education up to the age of 14 years, having completed primary 6 level, when he had to terminate his studies and seek work owing to the financial situation of his family consequent upon the death of his father.

4. That your humble petitioner has always sought to earn an honest living as a furniture maker and decorator, contributing part of his income to his family, but that at the time of this fatal incident he was unfortunately unemployed and had been so unemployed for three months.

5. That your humble petitioner deeply regrets allowing his

financial position and the welfare of his family to tempt him into becoming involved in the robbery on 14th August 1973 and the events leading to this fatal incident, that he was armed prior to the robbery but obtained a gun in the course of it. That he used no violence himself either in the course of the robbery or afterwards and at no time did he fire the gun in his possession.

That your humble petitioner had no intention that any violence would be used or that guns would be fired, and although he accepts his joint responsibility for this fatal incident asks that it be considered in his favour that it was not his action that produced this fatal result and it was never his intention or desire that such violence would be used.

7. That your humble petitioner has never, prior to this, been

convicted of any criminal offence and has never been associated with a triad society.

That your humble petitioner is very repentant of his actions and fully appreciates the disgrace he has brought to himself and
