That on the 2nd day of December 1974 the appeal of your humble
petitioner was dismissed and he is now a condemned prisoner waiting
to be executed for the offence of murder.
2. That your humble petitioner is seeking for mercy from Your Excellency
the Governor to save him from this punishment.
3. That your humble petitioner is now aged 24 years and received education
up to the age of 18 years, when his family's financial situation made
it impossible for him to continue.

That your humble petitioner was employed by one company as a messenger
for five years until he had to leave as a result of receiving injuries
in a road accident, and since then, until the date of his arrest, was
employed on a casual basis as a painter and decorator.
That your humble petitioner regrettably became involved in this incident,
and agreed to take part in the theft from the Chartered Bank, Cheong Wah
Street, Kowloon on 14th August 1973, but did not intend or desire that
violence should be used, and did not take a gun or any arms with him. His
part in the robbery was merely to keep watch outside the bank, and during
the course of the robbery he was given a gun by one of those taking part,
but at no time did he fire the gun.
6. That during his escape from the scene your humble petitioner heard the
sound of guns, but did not know then that anyone had been injured and was
