ICAC'S ORIGIN

The Independent Commission Against Corruption was set up by a Hong Kong statute following the Commission of Enquiry conducted by Sir Alastair Blair-Kerr, a judge of the High Court. He was appointed in 1973 to investigate the circumstances of the departure from Hong Kong of Ex-Chief Superintendent Godber and to propose further measures against corruption.
ICAC'S FUNCTIONS

The functions of the Independent Commission Against Corruption are to investigate complaints of corruption, to take steps for the prevention of corruption and to enlist community support for its elimination.
RECENT PROSECUTIONS AGAINST ICAC OFFICERS
