Dear Andrews,
With reference to our telephone conversation last night, I enclose a copy of the transcript of James Johnson's broadcast on ITN at lunch-time yesterday.
I recall from our lunch last week that you thought Mr. Johnson had benefitted from his visit to Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Government's expense. I must confess that in the light of this broadcast I agree with the people in Hong Kong who thought that his visit made little effective impression upon him and served only to annoy the public in Hong Kong when he attempted to tell them, at the outset of his visit, how to improve conditions in the Colony.
