Six,

I refer again to the rope case and

I have enquired further into the previous rape case involving the

son of the employer of the

Gy, and find that the girl in this oase was named

You say that the Sai Ying Poon Police know nothing about the case.

This makes it even worse, as a report was certainly made there somewhere about July, 1968, by the mother of the girl, in consequence of which the

wrong person was arrested and later released. The name of the real attacker

was given to the police the same one who is allegedly the rapist in Miss

0238,

The rapist finally settled the matter with the mother of the girl by giving money. This girl was also employed by the

Kompas, and was 16 at the time of the rape. As she worked in the company for several years, she will no doubt be known to someone there. The offence in that case took place in a small room in the company premises.

our last reply was most unsatisfactory. You say that you withheld action against the rapist "in the public interest. You did not clarify how letting a rapist free was in the public interest. This question aust sooner of later be answered,

May I suggest that you try to find out more about how police in Hong Kong make and unmake cases, to their heart's content (always involving money of course)? Or was it someone in your own department? The former is Lore to pattern, since they decide which files to send to you in the first place.

Yours truly,
