Corruption at all levels in Hong Kong

розкая

As you must be aware of the deplorable and contemptible conditions in the Colony of Hong Kong, we don't have to go into the details of the matter. Indeed, the corruption of the Hong Kong police is an open secret, and years ago, a public-minded person, Mrs. Elsie Elliot, did put the matter on the limelight, but she was persecuted by most of the government officials and was told aid to shut her mouth up for the sake of the good name of the Colony. Indeed, all the people in Hong Kong, especially the poor, are wondering what sort of government we are having. The U.K. people as a nation, are noted for their integrity and fair-play, but in the dark age of British decadence, we find the majority of the British officers are crooks. The came to Hong Kong with one single purpose, that is to get rich fast. No wonder 95% of them are not only corrupt, but also inefficient, since their mind is not at their job at all.

has done the Hong Kong people

We think in a way and the British government a good service. No body would have the courage equal to Hunt's. He exposed the mafia-like Hong Kong police organization, endowed with much greater power than the worse police states in the world. The cops here carry a gun and very often they use it for their own private good. Only recently a cop shot a driver dead by a bullet piercing through the hind part of his head, claiming that he was running a taxi-cab business with only a private-car license. The truth behind the fact is that most likely this poor driver had refused to pay the extortion money, which is at present at the rate of $120.00 per month per car.

We think it is high time for action and hereunder we suggest

a few points for your consideration and action:

(1) The Chief Commisioner of Police and his chief aids must resign with an apology to the people of Hong Kong for their negligence of duty. They must be either on the take or they must be the biggest fools who don't know anything going on right under their nose. In either case, crooks or fools, they must be dismissed.

(2) Legalise gambling. Since horse-racing is legalised, why not all other forms of gambling. It would increase the government's revenue and stop the corruption of the cops.

(3) Legalise prostitution, the oldest profession. All the big cities have their share of prostitutes. It is only a victoriean hypocrite that would say that any man wouldn't have even once in a while some promiscuous relations with some women of easy Virtue. Once a British cop beat up a Chinese prostitute so severely that two of her ribs were broken (see record in Q.E.H.), all because she had no money to pay that insatiable cop her dues. Now it would be make the life of these poor girls much easier if there is a tix*x* fixed license fee to pay instead of the unlimited amount of extortion money demanded by the rapacious cops each in accordance with his appetite and rate.

(4) Legalise drugs. This may be shocking to suggest. But the truth is that it would be much better for the people gou the whole. People would take drugs anyway once their habit is formed. After all, the addicts are doing nobody any harm except they themselves. The revenue so raised could be largely used for these poor people to rehabilitate themselves.
