TOILFUL LONDON W.C.2

21st January 1975

Dear Sir,

Government of Hong Kong and P. F. Godber

We have had a further Conference with Counsel; Mr. Sceats being present.

It has been decided that at the Trial it would be very useful to have a transcript of the television programme "Midweek Special" which was transmitted on the 16th January at 10.35 p.m. This information would assist if

returns to Hong Kong to give evidence for the prosecution. It would appear that certain of his Statements made on this programme would be beneficial.

It is doubtful whether the B.B.C. would be prepared to release a transcript to ourselves and we should therefore be obliged if an approach can be made by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for such a transcript.

Yours faithfully,

Note:
