Dev Denys,
MP'S LETTER: CORRUPTION
1.
OCAT
REF.
I enclose copies of correspondence from Mrs Elsie Elliott which has been forwarded to the Secretary of State by Mr James Johnson MP.
2.
You will already have seen the newspaper cuttings, and Lord Goronwy-Roberts, in reply, will not wish to make detailed comments on these. He will, however, need to comment on the criminal case referred to in Mrs Elliott's letter. I should be grateful for further information on this, and in particular for some background to the decision (if such a decision was indeed taken) that the case should not be pursued.
3.
Since this is an enquiry from an MP, Lord Goronwy-Roberts would like to send a substantive reply fairly soon.
Yours even Arabian
A C Stuart
