The Colony is congested and scope for training is correspondingly limited. Formal field training exercises for warfare in a North West Europe context are not feasible but the theory and practice of skills is kept up to date. Other training includes exercising with the police in the IS role.
Overseas Training
2. In an attempt to offset these limited facilities different sub units from the garrison exercise in Brunei for periods of a month eight to ten times annually. In addition and depending upon the availability of air lift, the intention is to send a detachment of up to company strength either to Fiji or to Australia/New Zealand as has been the practice in previous years.
