Thank you for your letter of 21 January 1975, which also picks up the request about book lists made in the cable of 14 January 1975 from Callaghan of the "CO.

As regards book orders
(a) general procedure agreed:
(b) separate lists will be prepared by the Polytechnic
as suggested by you:
(c) cancellation of out-of-print books agreed:
(d) six monthly status report by Blackwells agreed: and
(e) would you ask Blackwells to deliver to "The Librarian,
Hong Kong Polytechnic etc." and not to "The Director"?
As regards bindery equipment:
(a) item 5 - series 3T Bookspine Blocking Press
holders will be satisfory and the order stands.
the type
(b) item 7 - wooden cabinets and trays are acceptable.
(c) item 2 - Martini model preferred. It is available
from Muller Martini, Ridgeway Industrial Estate, Iver, Bucks.
(d) item 3- machine suggested is not suitable but Singer
model number 47G1 with † H.P. motor, table and stand is acceptable. The Polytechnic needs both straight and zig-zag stitching.
