1. The UK Department of Employment has been asked by the London Office of the International Labour Organisation to enquire whether the Government of Hong Kong wishes to make a nomination for the Symposium referred to above.
2. Two information notes are enclosed together with copies of Memoranda from the ILO Regional Director in Bangkok giving details of the Symposium. Attention is invited to the requirement that the participant must prepare a written contribution to the Symposium based on the list of points produced by the ILO. The participant should be notified of this requirement as soon as he is nominated.
It should be noted that the ILO will cover the cost of economy air travel and subsistence..
3. You will wish to be aware that nominations are being sought from Employers and Workers Organisations after consultation with the relevant groups within the Governing Body of the ILO.

An early indication of your intentions would be appreciated.
