reinforcement plans after facilities in Gan and Singapore have been given up.
costs of the Hong Kong garrison.
the use of Hong Kong as a post for gathering intelligence by the UK and other countries.
the internal administration of the Colony and the role of the Governor.
the contribution of Hong Kong to the British economy.
a comparison of the position of Hong Kong and Macao.
the use of Hong Kong by the US Navy and the support given by the United States to the security of Hong Kong.

These points are just a preliminary guide to the interests
of the Sub-Committee and span the MoD and FCO fields.
I have prepared them for the purposes of planning a programme for the visit. The Sub-Committee will wish to see and have an opportunity to comment upon the proposed programme before it becomes final.
