COMMAND SECRETARY
Wilfred Farrer was born in 1922. He was appointed to the Inland Revenue Department as an established Civil Servant in July 1939.
He served in the Royal Navy from 1242 - 46 as a telegraphist. He was taken prisoner on Leros in 1943 and spent the rest of the war as POW in Germany.
He has held various appointments in financial and civilian management fields since 1948 with Army Department and Ministry of Defence including overscas service in West Africa and .Germany, and was appointed Command Secretary Hong Kong in October 1974.
His wife's name is Margaret and they have two sons in UK aged 22 and 18. His interests include walking and reading.
