18th December, 1975

When you were in Hong Kong at the time of The Queen's visit, you very kindly suggested that I might get in touch with you for a chat when I was next in London. I will be in London from the afternoon of Wednesday January 7th until mid-day on Friday 9th when I leave for Hong Kong. I wonder if there would be any time convenient to you during this period in which we might forgather?

Mr. Janvrin of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office is coordinating my programme and perhaps the easiest arrangement would be for your secretary to get in touch with him and let him know whether there would be any chance of my seeing you. His telephone number is 233-4777.

The Lord Shepherd, House of Lords,

London, SW1.
