when we had our interesting talk in your office last month we agreed that it might be useful were you to have a chat with Peter Mayall when he comes this month to Hong Kong with Lord Gorouwy-kōderts. I mentioned this to reter who would be glad of the opportunity to exchange views with you. I passed this on to Alan Rowley who no doubt will be in touch with you. But I hope there will be no difficulty about finding half an hour on an hour in Mayall's programme for this purpose.

I wrote to Ann but I should not like to miss this opportunity of letting you know directly how very grateful I was for your kindness in puttin, me up whilst I was in Hong Kong. It was both comfortable and convenient to be able to stay with you and made a great difference to ny enjoyment of what was, I fear, a very brief visit.
