Princess Alexandra Community Centre, Tsuen Wan

The Tsuen Wan Community Centre, one of the six community centres operated by the Social Welfare Department, started operation in 1960. It was donated by the people of the United Kingdom in the World Refugee Year (1960) and was renamed as the Princess Alexandra Community Centre following the visit by Her Royal Highness, the Princess Alexandra in 1961.

The community centre provides social welfare services under one roof for the neighbourhood and serves as a base for community development work. It is a five-storey building with rooms and offices for welfare activities, a basketball court and an assembly hall designed and equipped for multi-purpose activities.
