8. The TUC representatives referred several times to their appreciation of the social progress resulting from the Governor's personal initiatives since he took office. The Labour Commissioner, Mr Price, was also mentioned for his part in initiating legislation on such matters as severance allowance, anti-union discrimination and labour relations.
