When you met Sir Peter Thornton some weeks ago he mentioned that so far as Rolls Royce were concerned the Government had publicly stated their support for the Company, and that this had been reported on a number of occasions to Parliament. You asked for some examples of this support and I attach some extracts from Hansard demonstrating this point.
Also I can assure you that the present Government is in full agreement with the previous Administration on this matter.
