PO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

On 29th July 1973 about 12 noon my father, Kwan Kong, was ciding the bicycle along argyle Street. A private car with A tremendous speed dashed towards the back of the bicycle. Because of the severe impact my father was lifted in the air and felt on the front of the car. The rear part of his head crashed on the window screen which was then completely broken into pieces. My father felt down on the ground and the blood oozed from his head and face. The driver then came out from the car and asked for the telephone in a shop. The owner of the shop told me later that the first one the driver contacted was his family before he proceeded to dial 999 - emergency call. His family arrived before the Police. They were going to investigate this accident as usual and my father was taken to the queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Our

No one from the hospital and Police informed us about this accident. Until next morning my mother wondered why my father did not come back last night - this was unusual. next neighbour advised by a woman, whose shop wes just opposite to Argyle Street, that the man knocked down looked like our father. My neighbour then informed my mother this possibility. My elder brother with my neighbour rushed to the hospital. After indentify my father's cloth, we were informed. my father was dead last night at about 10.30 p.m..

My

On 30th July I came back from Machu in the afternoon. mother told me this accident. For the sake of righteous, I wanted to investigate the whole story myself. I understood from the ambulance man's statement on the report my father was conscious before he was sent to hospital. My father told his name and address to that ambulance man but we did not know my father's death until next morning we found out ourself. The Police admitted that was the mistake of the hospital. from the keeper of the shop I understood the driver's father gave something to the policemen who involved to investigate this matter.

On 2nd August i.e. 3 days after the accident, the Police announced from the radio that the car and driver fled away after the crash and asked for any eyewitness - that was what they did if the driver went away. But in fact, the driver did not go away and I suspected the Police now going to play trick so that they could declare they could not do anything if they could not catch the driver. I then checked the name and car number of the driver from the police car-delained station. With tedious process,

I found out the address, name and car number of the driver.
